Cookie Policy

How Throngwatch uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control them.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. We group them into three categories. Only strictly-necessary cookies are set by default; analytics and marketing cookies are set only after you opt in through our cookie banner — the site works fully even if you decline them.

2. The categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Required to run the service: keeping you signed in, security, and remembering your cookie choice. These cannot be switched off.

NamePurposeLifetime
da_sessionKeeps you signed in to your workspace.Up to ~30 days
da_consentRemembers your cookie preferences.~6 months
da_last_serverRemembers the last server you viewed so the picker stays filled.~30 days
theme (local storage)Remembers your light/dark preference.Until cleared

Analytics (off until you allow it)

Help us understand how the product is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it. In the dashboard we use PostHog for product analytics and session replay (with all on-screen text and inputs masked); it loads only after you opt in, then sets a cookie named ph_…_posthog (about one year) holding an anonymous analytics ID — decline, and nothing is set. On our public marketing pages the same analytics runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device.

Marketing (off until you allow it)

Let us measure campaigns and show relevant ads through third parties such as Google and Meta. We do not currently set any marketing cookies. If we add a marketing pixel, it will be listed here and will load only after you opt in.

3. Managing your choices

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer, which reopens the consent panel. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though strictly-necessary cookies are needed for the service to work. Where required, we obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

4. Changes & contact

We will update this page when our cookie use changes, and update the date above. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data. Questions: [email protected].
